The Youngest Tweeb Turns 9

So my baby girl turns 9 tomorrow.  Time sure flies.  Now she is a pig lover and collector.  From piggy banks...to figurines.....to painted rocks......and soap dishes.  So what would be more fitting then a pig cake.
Now for what I did to make this mud lover.....I divided 1 boxed cake mix batter into 2 small glass bowls and 3 cupcakes. I filled the glass bowls about 1/4-1/3 full.  After they were baked, cooled, and refrigerated (cake frosts better cold), I placed the cake from the smaller bowl on the top half of the pig, cut the top off of a cupcake for the snout and placed it as shown.  The top of the cupcake, I cut in half then  cut the corners off one side of each.  I the frosted like shown.  After the top half was done, I got the bottom half out of the fridge and frosted it.  The feet are made from marshmallows sprayed with Wilton cake stencil spray.  I used toothpicks to keep them in place.  Eyes, nose, and his oh so cute belly button are made from chocolate chips.  The tale is just a good old pipe cleaner I swirled around a pencil.

My daughter adored him!
